Comments

  • The main name of this point, '''Lie Que''' makes reference to the perpetual movement of Qi in its creation, circulation and return to the Lungs. The breaking of this sequence in the transformations of Qi alters every physiological, mental or emotional cyclic process. The Lungs are known as '''the ministers of change and rhythm''' and are in charge of cycles and rhythmic processes in the body thanks to controlling respiration and the movement of fluids in the body by circulating the Qi throughout the body.
  • Etymologically the word "Que" translated as "broken", can also be understood in the context of "empty" or "empty channel", which makes us think of these three phases of the Qi cycle, creation, circulation and return. This includes the essence deposited in the Ren Mai Channel. When the Postnatal Qi is blocked in the chest and consequently in the Lung, the sequence of Qi is broken. LU-7 restores this sequence allowing the Original Qi to circulate through the chest and abdomen connecting the Upper Jiao with the Lower one establishing a sequence between the Lungs and the Large Intestine and another between the Lungs and the Kidneys.
