Causes:

It can be Qi deficiency of both organs or Qi deficiency of one that can cause deficiency of the other.

  • Causes of Spleen Qi deficiency: Inadequate diet, weak constitution, lifestyle (excess pensiveness), prolonged diarrhea
  • Causes of Lung Qi deficiency: Injury from seven emotions, weak constitution, exhaustion, chronic illness. Excess draining of Wood or excess Fire (too much expansion that Lung cannot contain).

Symptoms:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest oppression
  • White fluid phlegm
  • Weak voice
  • Depression
  • Physical and mental fatigue
  • Spontaneous sweating
  • Prone to catching colds
  • Poor appetite
  • Abdominal distension
  • Fatigue of the four limbs
  • Edema of face and legs, ankles and feet
  • Pale tongue with white coating
  • Fine and weak pulse, ,
