Causes:
It can be Qi deficiency of both organs or Qi deficiency of one that can cause deficiency of the other.
- Causes of Spleen Qi deficiency: Inadequate diet, weak constitution, lifestyle (excess pensiveness), prolonged diarrhea
- Causes of Lung Qi deficiency: Injury from seven emotions, weak constitution, exhaustion, chronic illness. Excess draining of Wood or excess Fire (too much expansion that Lung cannot contain).

Symptoms:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Chest oppression
- White fluid phlegm
- Weak voice
- Depression
- Physical and mental fatigue
- Spontaneous sweating
- Prone to catching colds
- Poor appetite
- Abdominal distension
- Fatigue of the four limbs
- Edema of face and legs, ankles and feet
- Pale tongue with white coating
- Fine and weak pulse, ,
