Symptoms
- Palpitations
- Sensation of distension or oppression of the chest
- Depression
- Slight sensation of globus in the throat
- Shortness of breath,
- Sighing
- Poor appetite
- Distension of the chest and epigastrium
- Dislikes lying down,
- The 4 limbs weak and cold
- Lips slightly cyanotic
- Pale complexion
- Tongue slightly pale and cyanotic at the edges and in the thoracic area
- Empty pulse but slightly tight in the left radial position
Causes
- The seven emotions, especially excess of pensiveness
- Qi deficiency
Treatment
- PC-6: releases Qi constraint at the level of the chest. Communicates with 17 CV.
- CV-17: releases Qi constraint.
- LU-7: opens the Conception Vessel, facilitates diffusion.
- LU-11: releases oppression of the chest and epigastrium.
- HT-8: Ying-Spring Point, mobilizes energy along the channel.
- CV-14: Front-Mu Point of the Heart.
- LR-14 + LR-3: releases Qi constraint.
