The Ke Cycle or control cycle is also called the domination cycle.
Uncontrolled growth is pathological. Nature has its control mechanisms, to restrain growth and maintain great balance. The elements collaborate with each other to preserve life.
By logic we observe that the one who gave birth to my mother is my grandparent; in the elements the same occurs, the control relationship is known as the grandparent-grandchild relationship.
Each element represses another and is in turn repressed. The grandparent represses and the grandchild is repressed.
- Wood supports Earth.
- Fire melts Metal.
- Earth absorbs Water.
- Metal cuts Wood.
- Water extinguishes Fire.
Following this logic:
- Wood is grandmother of Earth and granddaughter of Metal
- Fire is granddaughter of Water and grandmother of Metal
- Earth is grandmother of Water and granddaughter of Wood
- Metal is granddaughter of Fire and grandmother of Wood
- Water is grandmother of Fire and granddaughter of Earth.
Whenever expansion exists, inhibition is necessary. In this way life and constant mutation are guaranteed.
