- Most common: Liver Invading Spleen: because Liver is in excess or because Spleen is in empty.Liver-Qi stagnation + Spleen-Qi deficiency
- It can also happen that there is an insufficiency of the draining and evacuation function: "stagnant wood, stuck earth".
Normally it occurs more in women, presenting with constipation or diarrhea (or alternating). The irritable bowel syndrome, for example.
Symptoms
- Alternation of constipation (for example: every 3 days) with pasty stools. The hard plug drops and what follows are soft, pasty or diarrheal stools.
- Very thin girls with bloated belly.
- Irregular menstruation
- Pain and distension of the chest-hypochondrium
- Frequent sighing, depression, xin fan, irritability
- Bitter taste in mouth, dry throat, poor appetite, ,
