Biography

Born in Genoa, Italy, in 1973.

After obtaining a degree in Tropical Agricultural Engineering, I began working on development cooperation and humanitarian aid projects in several countries: Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Cuba and Morocco. Meanwhile, I self-taught computer science and collaborated with FAO, the UN agency, specifically as a programmer for navigation systems and web maps. In 2010, I directed FOSS4G (Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial International Conference) and that same year I completed my acupuncture studies with the Li Ping group at the Cenac school in Barcelona, where I was living at the time.

From 2011 to 2016, I travelled continuously, never staying in any country for more than 45 days. During this intense period between Asia and Europe, I cultivated my passion for therapies and acrobatics: I developed the Flying Therapeutics project, organised intensive partner acrobatics courses and worked as a therapist at Six Senses resorts for several seasons.

Projects

Today, past forty, I dedicate myself to the exciting goal of sharing the best of the knowledge I have acquired over the years.

Acupuncture Notes

Acupuncture Notes, a website created in 2008 with the idea of collecting course notes, has grown over the years to recently surpass 30,000 monthly visits and continues to expand with the creation of a mobile application, contributions from new collaborators and ideas that emerge along the way.

One Minute Practice

In parallel, the second project is taking shape, One Minute Practice, a breathing and micro-movement technique that I have developed and refined over the years as a tool capable of resolving my persistent back pain, and which has since proven effective in improving many conditions, from psoriasis to scoliosis. I am convinced that our bodies accumulate tension because we have not learned to release it. The project aims to promote simple and gentle techniques whose integration into daily life trains our bodies to release accumulated tensions, in order to live an increasingly relaxed life.
