Sinking of Qi

Sinking of Qi

One of the functions of Qi (especially Spleen-Qi) is to uphold the body structures in place. When Qi is severely deficient, this supporting function fails. This occurs in extreme situations, in which much energy and blood have been lost, or in terminal illnesses.

  • It usually occurs with severe deficiency of Spleen-Qi and Kidney-Qi.

See: Qi, Sinking of Spleen-Qi
