Pathway
It begins on the dorsal surface of the ring finger, projects through the 4th intermetacarpal space and inserts at the center of the wrist dorsal surface (TE-4). It ascends through the middle of the forearm between ulna and radius and inserts at the elbow at TE-10. The next linking point is approximately at TE-13 and along the posterior border of deltoid it reaches TE-14. It passes through the posterior part of the shoulder, lateral side of the neck and reaches the angle of the mandible where it inserts and divides into two branches:
- One branch attaches to the root of the tongue.
- Another ascends in front of the ear, outer corner of the eye, ascends through the temple and reaches the forehead to join GB-13 to unite with all the Yang hand sinew channels.
