Wind Attack

Cerebrovascular accident or CVA. Stroke. Embolism. Cerebral ischemic accident. Hemorrhage.

For Traditional Chinese Medicine it is a Wind attack or Zhong Feng. It is a disorder of the circulation of Qi and Blood, in which there is a blockage of the pure orifices of the head. It can affect the organs or the channels.


Conditions that favor Wind attack


These conditions in turn usually derive from inadequate diet or inadequate emotions over a long time.


Types of Wind attack

There are two types of Wind attack depending on the part affected:

  • Zhong Zang Fu: Attack on the organs. There is loss of consciousness, confusion, coma and hemiplegia or death. It is more serious.
  • Zhong Jin Luo: Attack on the channels. There is hemiplegia, facial paralysis, speech with difficulty. There is no loss of consciousness.


The role of Chinese medicine is important at the preventive level or in the treatment of sequelae. At any sign of CVA it is imperative to contact emergency services as soon as possible to prevent the patient from dying.
