Wiry Pulse

Wiry Pulse

Very forceful. Hard. Like a violin string. It is a full-type pulse. Yin of yang.

  • Indicates that yang wants to be released but yin does not allow it. Blockage, stagnation, affectation of LR (anger, resentment).
  • It is normal in Spring. If it is not wiry in spring, that is a bad sign. It indicates that yang has not yet grown after winter: tired, depressed, somnolence.
  • If in addition to being wiry it is also fine, it is called a wiry pulse.

Indicates

  • Pain
  • Pathology of Liver
  • Wiry in Stomach: blockage in the stomach. Cold does not allow descending, produces pain.
  • Cold fullness, accumulates in the interior.
  • Empty-Cold: there is fullness due to stagnation, but the patient's constitution is one of deficiency.
