Asthma from Liver Qi Stagnation

Asthma in crisis associated with moments of stress and nervousness. Liver-Qi stagnation opposing the Lungs. When this happens it is very possible that there is some underlying Lung-Qi deficiency. It may be a mixture of excess and deficiency.

Symptoms

  • Red face, red eyes (if stagnation has reached fire)
  • Bitter and dry mouth
  • Discomfort in chest and hypochondrium
  • Normal or red tongue, thin coating may be yellow (if Liver fire)
  • Tense pulse, may be rapid

Treatment

Unblock Liver-Qi, calm asthma.
