Below L4, 1.5 CUN lateral to Du Mai. L4 is at the level of the superior border of the iliac crests.
Nature
Functions
- Regulates the functions of Large Intestine: diarrhea, constipation, borborigmus, abdominal distension, gas, pain, bloated abdomen. See Large Intestine Syndromes
- Lower backache: cannot lie down, needs pillow to sleep. Difficulty bending and straightening.
- Dysmenorrhea with lower backache.
Comments
If female, may have menstrual pain with lower backache, abdominal distension and cold feet (Chong Mai)
