Pathology According to the Five Elements

Pathology According to the Five Elements

Each of the five elements is composed of a couple of complementary Yin and Yang, the Zang Fu, an organ and a bowel that have a close interior-exterior relationship (Biao-Li), energetic alternation (in the cycle of energetic circulation) and complement each other's physiological functions forming a rhythmic movement that responds to the influences of the natural cycles of heaven and earth.

There are a series of factors that are capable of influencing the organs energetically, and that have their place in the pentagonal cycle: the tastes, the smells, the five senses, the emotions, etc. In the same way, an energetic imbalance can influence said factors.
