Exterior pattern. It is seasonal: more characteristic of autumn, with hot and dry air.

Symptoms

  • Dry cough that may be without phlegm, with viscous phlegm difficult to expectorate or blood-tinged phlegm
  • Dryness of mouth and nose
  • Hoarse voice or loss of voice
  • Chest pain
  • Dry skin
  • Slight fever or aversion to cold
  • Red tongue with thin, yellow and dry coating
  • Superficial and fine pulse or fine and rapid pulse.

Causes

  1. Lung-Yin deficiency
  2. Attack of wind-heat or Wind-Dryness

Treatment

Moisten (similar to Lung-Yin Deficiency)
