Functions
- Eliminates Wind: Cold, influenza, Wind-Cold attack, headache, back pain, cough, nasal congestion, neck pain. Exterior Wind attack syndrome: LI-4 + TE-5 + GV-16 + BL-12
- Palace of Heat: sensation of heat in the body or thorax, infection, thoracic inflammation BL-11 + BL-12 + LU-1 + ST-12
- Abscesses, hot and inflamed cysts, fatty cysts that mature due to heat, usually located on the back. SI-7 can also be used.
- Controls all pores
- Strengthens Defensive Qi if moxa is applied together with ST-36 when healthy, to prevent colds and increase resistance.
Comments
Eliminates Wind, prevents Wind attack, used in the initial phase of an external Wind-Cold or Wind-Heat attack. Disperses and releases the surface of the body.

- Needling: 0.3-0.5 CUN obliquely downward or toward the spine
