Male, 32 years old.

Reason for consultation

Headache

History

More than 7 years ago he fell from a height, struck the occipital area and lost consciousness. He had intense pain, concussion and dizziness. He was treated with Western medicine. Afterwards, from time to time, he has pain.

For 6 months now, as a result of a strong work effort without adequate rest, the headaches returned with more frequency and severity (similar to the pain after the accident).

The pain presents in the occipital area, the nape of the neck, radiates forward to the frontal area, more or less in ST-8, more on the right side than the left. Now the pain is very sharp, stabbing, and produces a lot of stiffness in the nape of the neck.

He has dizziness, insomnia, apathy, lack of concentration.

He returned to the hospital and they told him they were sequelae from the concussion.

Appetite, urine and stools are normal.

Face with slightly dark and dry complexion. The tongue body is slightly dark with cyanotic spots on the edges and the tip of the tongue. Pulse fine and somewhat tense

Diagnosis

7 years ago he had a blockage of the GV channel, which has happened again.

The stagnation has continued present, which while there is enough energy does not manifest. Now that it has been exhausted, it is without qi propulsion and the blockage manifests again.

  • fine pulse = deficiency
  • tense pulse = stagnation
  • face and tongue = blood stagnation

There is also involvement of Yang Qiao Mai due to insomnia. It is not heart because there are no physical fatigue symptoms

Treatment

First of all, palpate the GV points (14, 15, 16) which are local points but also have global action.

Unblock the GV and Yang Qiao Mai:

blockage of the nape:

  • GV-14, GB-20 (Yang Qiao and bladder muscle channel)

move the blood (if needed more):
