1.5 CUN lateral to the Adam's apple, anterior to the SCM muscle (sternocleidomastoid). At the same height are LI-18 and SI-16.

- Gently stroke this point to calm if nervous.
- Regulates the ascending and descending of Qi to and from the head.
- Dissipates nodules.

- Needling: Not usually needled. Caution with the carotid artery. Can be needled very superficially or almost touching the artery
