It is the progression to worse of Qi Deficiency. The symptoms are very similar, but in Yang Deficiency more cold and dampness appear, as a result of the lack of transformation function.

- Constitution
- Qi Deficiency over the long term.
- Stress. Excess of physical and mental activity.
- Inadequate diet: excess of cold, raw foods
Symptoms
- No warming: intense cold, aversion to cold, cold limbs.
- No transformation: absence of thirst, clear and abundant urine, edema, loose stools with undigested food.
- Lack of movement: lassitude, lethargy, disinclination to speak, somnolence. Prefers stillness and silence.
- Pallor
- Pale tongue with thin white coating, or may be swollen and damp.
- Slow and deep pulse
