Woman, 57 years old.

Reason for consultation

Headache, bronchial asthma, obesity.

Clinical history

The patient has been suffering for 11 months from pain in the region of the right 12 GB following a long car trip. The pain is almost permanent with stabbing pain attacks radiating to the occiput and the supraspinous region of the scapula on the same side. She also has neck stiffness.

Since age 50, she complains of bronchial asthma and insomnia with easy awakening. She has gained 15 kilos since menopause and after several family tragedies. Since then she has nervous depressions, apathy with tendency to withdraw into herself, sadness, frequent sighs. Feeling of chest oppression that increases when she is nervous. Abdominal swelling in the evenings and at night. Lower back pain and knee pain. Constipation. Frequent colds. Tinnitus.

She is sensitive to cold and her lower limbs are cold in winter. She is fearful and claustrophobic. Urine is normal.

Tongue pink with thin white coating. Pulse fine and deep

Diagnosis

Which channel may be affected by the neck pain? Tai Yang and Shao Yang. The pain has not been eliminated in time because there is an interior pattern that maintains it.

What happened after age 50? Which organs are involved? Lung, kidney and spleen

Lung-Qi deficiency also produces oppression (not liver in this case).
