Causes

  • Qi/Blood Deficiency
  • Liver-Blood Deficiency
  • Chronic debilitating disease (for example, multiple sclerosis)
  • Haemorrhage

Symptoms

  • Hands and feet contracted
  • Tremors
  • Muscular tics
  • Itching of the skin
  • Cramps
  • Numbness of the limbs (Ma Mu)
  • Dizziness
  • Tinnitus
  • Dull pale face
  • Nails discolored and brittle
  • Dryness of the eyes, blurred vision
  • Insomnia
  • Poor memory
  • Scanty menstruation, amenorrhoea
  • Menstrual blood pale
  • Pale and parchment-like tongue, deviated, trembling
  • Fine pulse and tight
