Like Lung Qi Deficiency but with involvement of yang, heat. It does not distribute fluids and yin accumulates. For example: chronic bronchitis.
Symptoms
- Shortness of breath, weak respiration.
- Cough with abundant clear and fluid phlegm.
- Aversion to cold, feeling of cold, especially cold hands.
- Feeling of cold in the upper back (between shoulder blades).
- Catches colds easily.
- Pale face.
- Physical and mental exhaustion.
- Weak voice and reluctance to speak.
- Edema.
- No thirst.
- Pale, swollen and moist tongue.
- Weak pulse at the right "thumb" position.
Causes
- Lung Qi Deficiency with interior Cold
- Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency
- Attack of exterior Cold
- Inadequate diet: excess of cold and raw foods
- Sadness
Treatment
Tonify Lung-Yang:
