Spleen Xue Deficiency

Normally there is:

  1. Qi and Xue Deficiency simultaneously
  2. Xue Deficiency with Spleen-Yin deficiency

Symptoms

  • Poor appetite
  • Slight post-prandial abdominal distension
  • Tiredness, lassitude
  • Pale and dull face
  • Weakness of the four limbs
  • Depression
  • Thinness
  • Loose stools
  • Scanty menstruation or amenorrhoea
  • Insomnia
  • Joint pain
  • Pale and parchment-like tongue (thin and narrow)
  • Choppy or fine pulse

Causes

Spleen-Qi deficiency: fails to transport and transform nutrients properly, fails to nourish the Blood.

Treatment

Tonify Qi and Xue: BL-20; ST-36; SP-3; SP-6, CV-4; BL-17

  • Exhaustion: BL-43;
  • Menstrual problems, skin, pruritus of the lower limbs, genitals: SP-10
