- Strengthen the Spleen, especially its Yang aspect. When the Spleen is weak it does not control blood. This point controls hemorrhage, uterine bleeding, abundant menstruation, nosebleed, bleeding gums, low platelets. Particularly effective for stopping hemorrhage with moxibustion.
- Calm the Spirit: Insomnia from excessive thinking, racing thoughts, obsession. Helps stop obsessive thinking.
- Abdominal swelling, distended belly, slow digestion
- As it is a Wood element point, it helps resolve Liver Insulting Spleen
- As a Jing-Well Point, it treats subcordial fullness. Calms the Spirit by treating fullness of the Heart, chest, and epigastrium.
