Spleen not controlling Blood. The Spleen has insufficient Qi to maintain Blood within the blood vessels. Bleedings, bruises and haemorrhages occur easily. It is difficult to stop bleeding.

- Muscle emaciation
- Excessive rumination, worry, obsessions
- Loss of weight
- Abdominal distension, especially postprandial, with somnolence
- Tiredness, lassitude
- Weakness of the limbs
- Pale and dull face
- Loose stools
- Blood in urine or stools
- Excessive uterine haemorrhages
- Pale tongue
- Weak pulse
